Principal Institute Advisory Board 

Principal Institute is building an Advisory Board whose members are seasoned educators and open to progressive thinking regarding educational reform, approaches to leadership and change management, and advancing professional development. This smart group of school leaders will guide PI processes and consider whole child and the whole adult issues relative to staff members, parents, families, and community members with the end goal of improving opportunity, communities, and the economy by improving the classroom experience and the school environment. Lisa Martin, M.A.

Lisa currently works as a manager in leadership development for both business and education institutions. Her ongoing work in leadership, personnel and fiscal management continues her commitment to servant leadership. In her educational career that has spanned two decades, Lisa has served as a teacher, director, principal, and consultant. She identifies her life passion as service to those who are underserved or who face barriers to equity and empowerment that can be experienced through democratic systems of education and learning. Lisa is a skilled outdoorswoman; she loves hiking, backpacking, biking, running and photography. As a native of Colorado, she sees the mountains as a profound source of her inspiration, reflection, and renewal.

Adam Combs, M.A

A GRADUATE OF THE PRINCIPAL INSTITUTE, ADAM COMBS CURRENTLY SERVES AS PRINCIPAL OF FREMONT MIDDLE SCHOOL IN FLORENCE, CO. AS A 13-YEAR EDUCATIONAL VETERAN WITH A MASTER’S DEGREE IN CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION AND A PI APPROVED ADMINISTRATOR, ADAM IS WELL POSITIONED TO ADVISE AND GUIDE CANDIDATE PROCESSES AND CONTENT. ADAM NOTES, “THE ALTERNATIVE PATHWAY TO BECOME AN ADMINISTRATOR IS SO IMPORTANT IN TODAY’S WORLD, AND I AM EXTREMELY EXCITED TO CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THIS PROCESS WITH THE PI ADVISORY BOARD.” OUTSIDE OF WORK, ADAM ENJOYS SPENDING TIME WITH HIS WIFE AND THREE CHILDREN, COACHING, AND WATCHING AND FOLLOWING ALL SPORTS.
